Dental Amalgam

Though it is often referred to as “silver fillings,”  dental amalgam is actually composed of several different metals: liquid mercury and a powdered alloy of silver, tin and copper. It is used to fill cavities caused by tooth decay.

Dental amalgam is considered hazardous waste and care needs to be taken when disposing of it.  Medical Waste Solutions’ program is a reliable and safe solution to disposing of dental amalgam.
